Fall Crappie Bite - Minnesota Metro Area Fishing Tip

The Crappie bite is going ok, not super aggressive but fish can be had. There are 2 patterns producing now...one would be early ice spots, deeper water on the edge of basins. You can actually fish this pattern as if you were ice fishing, use your electronics if you can to find some schools, anchor and fish right over the side of the boat. This however is not the only option right now, there can be a shallow bite found especially on sunny warmer days. Try a minnow under a bobber on the weedlines and dont be afraid to even try up over the weeds.
